How Things Work At Hugs 24/7 Radio
1 – Submit Your Song(s) - To submit songs to HUGS 24/7 Radio (aka HUGS), follow the instructions on the Hugs website under the “How To Submit Your Music To HUGS” tab at this link:
2 – What Happens After You Submit Your Song(s) - After Hugs 24/7 Radio receives an artist’s song and it’s chosen to be played, its first airing will
be on “The Shockwave on Saturday at 9 pm U.S. Eastern Time. Two days after the airing, on Sunday, it will be given an active link on the Hugs PLAYLIST at VOWAVE page: https://www.vowave.com/HugsRadio/sounds
You will then start promoting your song, asking people to listen to it, give it a like by clicking on the “heart” icon only one time during the voting period (clicking twice will delete the first like), leave a comment (they can leave as many as they would like), and sharing it with their friends.
Three days later on the following Wednesday, your song will be played for its second time on “The Breakout Show”, at 8pm U.S Eastern.
Two days later, on Friday, the NEW Hugs Top 200 Chart will be posted on the Hugs Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61586779005653 ), after The Hugs Top 20 Show airs at 9pm US Eastern. IMMEDIATELY after the new Hugs Top 200 Chart is posted, the RESUBMISSIONS are open. Go to the Hugs website “SONG RESUBMISSION INFORMATION and follow the instructions on the “Song Resubmission Information” tab.
3 – Hugs Shout-Out - If you want to record a 15-second Shout-Out (aka “bumper”) for Hugs 24/7 Radio, they will put it on the air. Send it to hugsunderground@gmail.com ATTN: SHOUT OUT!
4 – How The Hugs Top 200 Position is Determined - HUGS uses an algorithm which includes data from VOWAVE (plays, likes, comments – including
artist’s replies to comments!), and the US/European data sites that are tied to the HUGS Educational Colleges. These sites are click and play only. They Can NOT Stream, nor can they Download for the Playlist. Your song’s position on The Hugs Top 200 Chart is driven by this data, and the listener! Listeners MUST have a FREE VOWAVE Account to be able to play, like and comment on your song, so promoting VOWAVE is important to your song’s success. Also, use the share feature in VOWAVE to put the link to your social media pages, or right click on the song title and copy and
paste the link that way. All Artists are allowed up to 2 ACTIVE tracks each week in the Playlist.. It is up to the Artists submitting their music to HUGS, to select which 2 tracks will continue on.
5 – Hugs VOWAVE Page - The Hugs VOWAVE PLAYLIST page is essential to your song’s success on The Hugs Top 200 Chart! Each week after the Song Resubmission Window ends at 6pm US Eastern time on Saturday, VOWAVE starts to be repopulated with links for all of the resubmitted songs. The repopulation is usually complete on Sunday or Monday. You will need to monitor when your song link is up on VOWAVE. No notification is sent other than a post on the Hugs Facebook page stating that the playlist is done. Once your song link is up, it becomes your job to promote your song and get that new link out to your listeners, asking them to listen, like, comment and share the link with friends. This is a weekly process. Both their comments and your replies will help your song. To like and comment, you must left click on the song title, which will open another window. There, you will be able to like and leave a comment, as well as repost and copy the link for your song. You can also see who has liked and reposted your song by clicking on the “more” button.
After the Hugs Top 20 on Friday at 9pm, all of the active links are removed from VOWAVE and the number of listens goes back to zero. When the song links are pulled, Hugs is renaming the songs with the new chart positions. If the song was in the “Shockwave” show, it will be labeled as a “Sneak Peak” and it will appear with “#####” in the chart position column of The Hugs Top 200 Chart. Some songs are labeled “POW” (Pick Of The Week) or “WC” (Wild Card).
If your song reaches #1 or if it stays in the Hugs Top 100 for 52 chart weeks, it will become a “Legacy Track”. It will have its own permanent link on the Hugs website. You can find the Legacy Tracks by hovering your mouse pointer over the “Hugs Top 200 Chart” tab, and then click on “The Hugs Legacy Tracks” tab.

Mondays at 8pm US Eastern – THE Monday CLUB - A show where any song from a Hugs artist may be played. Requests for songs are taken during
the show.
Tuesdays at 8pm US Eastern – The HUGS Showcase - This show plays songs from #200 to #11, but not all of them. Some Wild Cards (which are songs Hugs picks to go directly into the Top 200, bypassing The Shockwave Shakedown) and Sneak Peaks (new songs from The Shockwave Shakedown) may also be played.
Wednesdays at 8pm US Eastern - The Breakout Show - The Breakout Show will play the songs from The Shockwave Shakedown, Or those airing for the second time in the HUGS Charting, as well as other songs from the Top 200 that were not played on The Showcase.
Thursday at 8 pm, US Eastern - INTERDIMENSIONS - With Lady G talking and discussing all Paranormal, UFO, Bigfoot and More!! Call in's are very welcome !
Fridays at 9pm US Eastern – The HUGS Top 20 COUNTDOWN - Recapping the TOP 20 Tracks In HUGS
Saturday 9pm US Eastern – The HUGS Shockwave - All the new songs entering The Hugs Top 200 in the next week.
Sunday at 8pm US Eastern – Professor Heinnie Bach and the HUGS HAY RIDE. Covering the BEST 3 Genres of Music. Country, Western and Bluegrass !!
