What In The Wide, wide World of Music Is Goin' On Here??

The hands of time refuse to STOP... Just like HUGS !!  Another Year Gone Bye, while a new one has already began digging in!!  Already HUGSFEST 2023 has been etched in Stone, June 16th, 17th & 18th, in Shelton Washington....  ONLY This Time,  We are not out in the middle of No Mans Land... Nope!  No flying under the radar this time!!  This Year we will be staking claims to the Downtown Blocks of Shelton Washington, Business District...   Multiple stages, Multiple venues, a Saturday Complete All Out Block Party!!  Preperations have already begun.  Lots of contacts have already been put on notice too.  Being right in the heart of the business district, HUGS hopes to secure Pod Cast Streaming, Radio Relay and several other Media avenues...  This one will be the Event Of The Year... 

I was given an Updated Global Map of the HUGS Artists and Listeners.... WOW.... We have moved to 129 Active Countries that have become represented with the HUGS Platform... Who would have thought that???  But, I think that I have to come to terms that HUGS has the best music and artists on the Planet, so why should that surprise me?    I saw that Iceland has come aboard!!  I NEVER thought that I'd see that !!! That is SO COOL... No Punn Intended!!
 

So much Good Stuff… VOWAVE has been selected for a Beta Test for the New Playlist site.  They are a New and Growing Platform that offers Artists what they need to advance, as well as a Great Streaming Player for the Listeners!!  Talks have already begun and if terms can be met, HUGS will be directing all it's artists and fans to the VOWAVE site…  If you get a second, give it a go and see what you think.  A link has been posted on the Home Page, as the HUGS TOP TEN has been posted to it for all to hear…

And Another Month Bites the Dust!!

AS if time just zipped on by!!!  Well I would love to tell you all about the Up Coming Plans for December, but too late... December is Here..   So Onward to the Holiday set up.  Okay, if you don't know by now you're not listening to HUGS 24/7 RADIO enough..  The HUGS 2022 HUGS AWARD Polls are about to close for this year... So get out there and make your selections ASAP !!   As for the Shows and the changes that are taking place... Keep an eye out on the HUGS 24/7 Radio Facebook page...  We WILL be shifting the HUGS weekly Playlist to SOUNDCLOUD this coming week.  The series of issue surrounding Drooble have taken a toll on not just the entire platform, but a toll on all of those that have used it !!  Fact to be known is that I tried to work a deal for HUGS to take over the entire Platform and keep it running, but the funds that they were asking for it, could NOT be established as the present owners would not supply a financial statement to ensure that the site wasn't flooded with leans and past billings that would follow the sale.  I was left with no option but to decline any interests in saving an already defunct software package that would and could not remain operational.  Sorry gang, but the interests in the HUGS platform will remain set with the sights set on our own streaming platform.   It may take time to get there, but at least we will control our own future and not be reliant upon paper pushers with interests only in having hands inside the pockets of hard working artists.. 
  
The December 21st date has been set for the Christmas Show as well as the 2022 HUGS Awards Show..  If you have a Christmas Tune that you want to submit... Do it now!  Send it in the Ez at hugsradiomusicdropbox@gmail.com It's the only way that it will get into the rotation in the coming weeks..  Outside of that, strap in as the seasonal weather might just get a little frosty outside, which will make everyone inside ready to tune in!!   God I Love This Job!!     Stay In Tune !!

Holy Smokes!!

Sorry for not catching up on the Scratch Pad... BUT, I do have a good Excuse !!  It's because of ALL OF YOU out there!!   LOL!! What can I say other than Thank You..  In believing that we at HUGS are really trying to make a difference.   So as you can tell things here are on OVERDRIVE right now with HUGS.  The OCTOBER MADNESS- Battle Royale has taken things to the Nth Level, but what an exciting thing to watch happen.  After all, NOT MANY unsyndicated Radio shows can say that they have 72K hits to their Website each night, but that is exactly what's happened. 

That's NOT the listening audience which has grown close to a half a million, but those just trying to find out more about the HUGS Platform.  Yes, many looking to BE HEARD and getting involved.  So with that said...  We are trying to keep up while growing at the same time.  I hope you all approve.

Another note is the switch to Drooble hosting the Playlist instead of METAPOP...  Fact is, that the BOYS CLUB of Metapop, got BUTT HURT when the HUGS Artists started taking over the entire site chart..  They offered NO explanation as to how a copyright infringement was possible, nor would they answer any other replies to the notices that we sent.  Fact is, they are more interested in using other people's music and remixing it and declaring it their own!!   It's not a site that is for REAL Musicians, but wanna be's..  Seeing that Metapop doesn't even support their own by-laws about music creations, what would they protect any HUGS Artist's work...  That's the short and sweet of it,  They Are Just Butt Hurt!

That is why I recommend that each and every Artists, REMOVE their work from the METAPOP site.... Before they find a away to make claims to it for some no talent hack to talk about his latest creation... All the stemmed from your hard work.

Well tonight is the OCTOBER MADNESS, Round 2 kickoff.. AND we have received word that the London Server for HUGS 24/7 RADIO will be undertaking a Maintenance Shutdown on Tuesday Night !!   Gotta run as we begin in a few minutes!!

Nothing Ventured, Nothing Earned...!!

For those that have been watching the HUGS site and following the HUGS 24/7 RADIO station, you are probably just amazed at the constant state of change that goes on here.  Fact is, I'm getting pretty used to it anymore.  There have been several things taking place behind the 'big curtain' that I can tell you about,  The hottest issue is the "New" Platform.   Yes, HUGS is going to jump in with both feet. This is something new when it comes to Unsigned Artists and Music.  We have been putting the blocks down for its foundation for a while now and fact is.. HUGS will be branching out again on its own two feet. No Safety Net.  We've even asked the HUGS Family to aid in getting us through the door on this issue and as it would appear...  We are closing in on launching into production in a few weeks.  More to come on that issue very soon.

The second issue is that HUGS 24/7 RADIO has managed to lock in to a few 'New" shows for the airways. Brandon Hixson has come aboard to offer his voice and ideas to spot light the artists with in the HUGS Family.  "THE HUGS NETWORK SHOW", is already set to come to life on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at 9 PM, EDT.  And, from what i have heard already... It's a good one!!  I have gotten word that our own Bob Ranalli, CEO of ASP (All Sound Pro LLC.) will be adding into the the HUGS platform too.  Soundman Bob will be doing a few recordings for all those out there that want to learn a few things about sound..  YEA, I know.. Sometimes it's the biggest pain in the butt, but Soundman Bob is going to offer a few Tips and Tricks...  To make your life a little easier, if not, at least you'll sound better..  SO, as the tables turn, Studio A has been very busy when it comes to the production side of things and on top of that Tim has actually ventured into bringing his own touch to the airways very shortly... All compensatory to what other crazy ideas that I have him throwing darts at.

The surprise of the week came in the form of the HUGS 24/7 RADIO station demographics that were presented to me..  Seems that someone is actually watching this stuff pretty close..  Needless to say, but I will; when I heard the final numbers I almost was forced to take a Dramamine Tablet..  Yea, Okay, I was pretty excited, but I refuse to let the numbers do my thinking...  We have a long way to go and a short time to get there,,,  But as like all Unsigned and Independent artists, don't try to tell me I can't.  You'll Lose, but the numbers where quite the reward.

One topic that really made me take a deep breath and laugh was the HUGS SHOUT OUT thing.  I remember as a youth, listening to the radio and hearing all those fun little bits come over the transistor radio I carried with me.. YES, and with those huge headphones plugged into it..  Some of the Shout Outs were just funny as hell..  I was never lucky enough to get a chance to do it as we never had a way to call in on time to be that caller who got to do it...  Well, I agree, let's put the fun back into the radio..  So, drop us your SHOUT OUT and grab your 15 seconds of fame..  Why Not,  Kind of reminds me of the sayings that my father used to toss out there at me.  "Too smart, too late and too old, too soon"  However.. in the famous words of Doc Holliday, "I've Not Yet Begun To Defile Myself." and I will continue on establishing the fact that I intend on living forever... I have got too many people that I have yet to piss off. 

Back to the emails and to the grind,,, But Keep the Faith Huggers, We are changing music history and if we say united... No telling how far we can go.

Let's Kick the Pig and see what it's got!!

Hey Gang...  We Let No Moss growing under HUGS 24/7 RADIO.  We've been at a constant run since touching back to earth from Shelton, Washington.  We have a full plate of things going on, things about to happen and hell.. things already taking place.  The first thing is after taking an ear beating about having to wade through the internet to connect for the shows on the mobile  devices,,,, I am happy.. No  DELIGHTED to announce that HUGS 24/7 RADIO has finally got a working APP for those Android Users..  You can find the download link on this site, on the home page, right under the spinning Globe you will find the HUGS Beta APP.  Just download it and install it..  There are no Cookies used, no sleight of hand or any files that will attach to anything..  After installing it, you'll have to give the APP permission to connect to the internet and in some cases allow it to use the music player on you phone.   So one click and you're there!!   Now for those that are tied to the Apple iPhone... You're just going to have to wait a bit.  Seems that Apple has to get the very last dime from everyone and has made it a costly adventurous task to get an APP that will aid you with HUGS 24/7 RADIO... but, hold tight as we are working on it!!

If you've been listening to the latest air plays you're hearing about the next concert that HUGS Artists will be performing at.  Yep, it's in Alliance, Ohio on the 17th of September.  It's a big one for all HUGS Artists and when I say ALL Artists... I mean All.  If you are in the area, you can sneak on down and grab a good seat. Six Bar Break, Latimore Sky and Yigga Digga will be doing their best to keep Ohio up a little later than normal!! Since I began this march called HUGS, I always wanted to create an avenue that would allow the Unsigned and Independent Artist a platform to compete with the big dogs..  The radio was only one part of it, but after two years of pushing and pulling the coat tails of the right people, I am very happy to announce that HUGS will be opening its largest calling card for advancement,  the HUGS Music Publishing Company.  This venture will aid in multiple avenues to aid and promote HUGS artists into a total music package. This will secure HUGS Artists with a Publisher to which it will structure and deliver a full catalogue to the major outlets of the Music Business.  There's much more to this , but currently we have to wait for the ink to become dry on the contracts from legal.  But this is big news and good news for those that wish to elevate their music to a higher platform..  Exciting stuff!!

The September, Season Kick Off, is already rolling and steaming like a freight train. Currently we are setting up the dominos so they fall just like they are supposed to.  That means more focused shows on Spotlighted features, New Voices and New Ideas..  Of course,, NEW MUSIC!!  Stick around Gang the ride is just beginning!!  Ain't it COOL!
